I hated masks during the pandemic. I still do. I complied, I wore mine, and I would not presume to tell others that they shouldn’t wear a mask if they feel it’s what they need to do to protect themselves or others. However, I never could understand what people were saying behind those muffling masks. I guess I need to see people’s mouths, as well as their eyes to get the connection as to what in the world the were saying. I disliked wearing the mask myself, I found it stifling, and hard to breathe, but, again, I always complied. I joked that “I don’t like wearing this mask because you can’t see my smile or my look of disdain or disapproval.”
